The PALINDROME INTER.MEDIA PERFORMANCE GROUP has been in Nürnberg since 1984, and is dedicated to exploring the interface between human movement and new technology.
Using computers and sensor systems, for example, they control projections or generate music directly through the dancers‘ movements.
They are winners of the 1999 Nürnberg Innovation Competition, and won first prize at CynetArt in Dresden for multimedia. Last year they also took home first prize at the Berlin Transmediale in category „Intertactive Art“.
Frieder Weiß, computer engineer, and Robert Wechsler, choreographer, are co-directors.
The rest of the „core“ group includes Helena Zwiauer, choreographer and dancer, Babis Panagiotidis designer, dj and company philosopher and Andrea Kick, company manager.
